Holiday homes for groups

Last year, after 16 years of operating a B&B, I decided to offer groups the possibility to rent the whole structure (apart from my own apartment) for a minimum of one week. The house is quite big and well-suited to receive large families, groups of friends, trekkers, or mountain bikers. It also offersthe possibility to organise courses such as Yoga, painting or singing.

The Villa has two stories.

  • The ground floor is occupied by a big, fully equipped kitchen of some 60qm and two big rooms, each (ca 25qm) with double bed, bathroom and an additional double sofa/folding bed.
  • Room Nr. 1 has wall paintings (frescos) which represent the olive harvest (see photo).
  • Room Nr. 2 has paintings referring to works of the famous renaissance painter Canavesio (around 1400) whois highly worshiped in Pigna because he painted murals in two of the town’s churches.

The first floor, which is not interconnected and has a separate entrance, on the left hand sidehosts:

  • Room Nr. 3 (ca 28 qm) equipped with a double bed, a sleep sofa for two people and a bath room with shower
  • Room Nr. 4(ca 12 qm) a small room,equipped with a double bed
  • Room Nr. 5 (ca 20) equipped with a double bed, a bathroom and a terrace with a fantastic view on the valley

On the right hand side of the first floor is my apartment where I partly live (which can remain unoccupied for the renting time on request).

Outside of the house there are two big terraces.
The main terrace in front of the kitchen (ca 100 qm) and facing the sun, offers a big table, a sofa, chaise-longs, a gas BBQ and a pizza oven. It faces the swimming pool (6m x 4m x 1,40m).
The upper story also has a big terrace with a sofa and chairs and enjoys sun in the afternoon.
The villa is situated in the countryside above Pigna (to be reached by a 4 km scenic, uphill road), which means that it is necessary to have a car. But there is also a panoramic foot path which takes you to Pigna in about 40 minutes while passing by the popular river pools - natural basins formed by the Rio Carne - that invite for a swim in their crystal clear water, and two churches with the Canavesio paintings. The visitor has a wonderful view on the historical town of Pignaall along the way, offering him a welcome with typical restaurants, bars and cafes. Pigna also hosts a famous Thermal bath/spa around an ancient sulphur source. Guests of Casa di Giacomo have a 15% reduction on presentation of the visitor’s card. (This year the bath is unfortunately closed in expectation of a new owner).

There are not many house rules, but the few are important:

  • You will take your trash yourself to the communal bins further down on the road
  • For the final cleaning on the day of departure, you have two options: or you do it yourself, or you pay a forfeit of 60 euros to cover the costs for the cleaners
  • At your arrival, you will be asked to pay a deposit of 500 euros as guarantee in case of damage, which you will receive back at your departure. (It is not a real money transfer but only a reserve on your credit card)
